Day 2
BAYTSHO LAKE HELICOPTER PICNIC
Following a leisurely breakfast at Pemako Thimphu, depart for one of the signature experiences of your honeymoon in partnership with Heli Bhutan. Board your private helicopter and take to the skies above Bhutan's spectacular mountain landscapes. Along the journey, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Paro Valley, the scenic Chelela Pass, the remote beauty of Haa Valley, and the pristine wilderness surrounding Baytsho Lake. Your destination is the tranquil Baytsho Lake, a beautiful alpine setting nestled amongst forests, mountains, and untouched Himalayan scenery.
Upon landing, a gourmet picnic awaits, thoughtfully prepared by a private chef and accompanied by a selected bottle of wine. ART, CULTURE & BHUTANESE WINE
The morning begins at a relaxed pace with a private breakfast picnic arranged within the beautiful surroundings of Pemako Thimphu. The remainder of the morning is yours to enjoy at leisure, whether unwinding by the heated pool, enjoying the wellness facilities, or browsing the nearby craft market where local artisans showcase Bhutan's rich artistic traditions. Following lunch, discover one of Bhutan's most celebrated cultural treasures during an immersive thangka painting experience. Guided by skilled artisans, you will learn about the history, symbolism, and techniques behind these intricate sacred artworks. A personalised design, prepared in advance by a thangka master, awaits your arrival, allowing you to participate in the colouring process and create a meaningful keepsake to remember your journey through Bhutan.
As evening approaches, make your way to The Wine Stop for a curated wine tasting and dining experience in partnership with the Bhutan Wine Company. Sample a selection of locally crafted wines inspired by Bhutan's unique Himalayan landscapes, each thoughtfully paired with a carefully prepared multi-course menu. Blending Bhutanese flavours with warm hospitality, the experience offers a memorable introduction to one of the Kingdom's emerging culinary traditions. Day 4
JOURNEY TO THE VALLEY OF PUNAKHA
Following breakfast, depart Thimphu by private SUV and begin one of Bhutan's most scenic road journeys. Travelling through pine forests, mountain passes, and traditional villages, the route offers a fascinating glimpse into the country's diverse landscapes. Along the way, cross the renowned Dochula Pass, home to 108 memorial chortens and sweeping Himalayan views. Here, you may pause to enjoy a coffee or light refreshment while taking in one of Bhutan's most iconic panoramas before continuing towards Punakha. As the journey descends into the valley, the scenery gradually transforms from cool alpine forests to the lush subtropical landscapes that define Punakha. Upon returning to Pemako Punakha, the afternoon is dedicated to relaxation and wellbeing. Following breakfast, depart Punakha by private SUV and begin the scenic journey back towards Paro.
