Day 1 – Arrival in Bhutan | Into Paro Valley
Upon landing at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your private guide and escorted by luxury SUV to COMO Uma Paro, a serene mountain retreat hidden among pine forests above the valley floor. Your Forest View Room offers a quiet introduction to Bhutan, blending contemporary comfort with Himalayan stillness. After arrival, enjoy a traditional welcome drink and, subject to arrival time, a private blessing ceremony led by a local monk for protection and auspicious beginnings. The remainder of the day is left intentionally free, allowing time to unwind before a refined dinner inspired by Bhutanese and international cuisine.
Day 2 – Mystical Dagala Lakes by Helicopter
The day begins slowly with breakfast overlooking the forests before departing for a scenic helicopter journey with Heli Bhutan. Flying above mountain ridges, hidden monasteries, and untouched alpine wilderness, the experience reveals the legendary Mystical Dagala 1000 Lakes from the air, one of Bhutan’s most remote and breathtaking landscapes. Returning to Paro later in the afternoon, the evening transitions into a private candlelit dinner designed exclusively for two.
Day 3 – Tiger’s Nest & Himalayan Restoration
Following breakfast, begin the ascent toward Paro Taktsang, Bhutan’s sacred Tiger’s Nest Monastery dramatically carved into the cliffs high above the valley. Accompanied by your private guide, the journey passes through pine forests and mountain viewpoints before reaching the monastery itself, one of the kingdom’s most spiritual landmarks. After lunch in Paro or overlooking the monastery trails, return to COMO Uma Paro where the evening is dedicated to wellness with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath for two followed by an intimate dinner.
Day 4 – Through the Mountains to Punakha
After breakfast, depart Paro by private SUV, crossing scenic Himalayan passes toward the warmer subtropical valley of Punakha. Upon arrival at COMO Uma Punakha, settle into your Valley View Room surrounded by forests, rice terraces, and river landscapes. The afternoon remains open for quiet relaxation, walks through the surrounding nature, or enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the lodge. In the evening, take part in a private Bhutanese cooking experience where traditional recipes and local ingredients introduce you to the flavors of the kingdom.
Day 5 – Punakha’s Sacred Landscapes
Breakfast is served overlooking the valley before continuing into the cultural heart of Punakha. Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most celebrated monasteries and fortresses, positioned between two rivers beneath jacaranda trees and mountain scenery. Later, dressed in traditional Bhutanese attire, enjoy a romantic private photoshoot among the valley’s temples, courtyards, and riverside landscapes. The evening concludes with a candlelit dining experience beneath the stars, weather permitting.
Day 6 – Thimphu & Bhutanese Wine Experiences
Following breakfast, continue by private SUV to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, a city where traditional Bhutanese culture meets quiet modern elegance. Check into Pemako Thimphu, ideally located near the capital’s craft markets, cafés, and cultural districts. In the evening, enjoy a curated wine tasting and fine dining experience with Bhutan Wine Company at the Wine Stop in Thimphu, pairing Bhutanese wines with a specially designed multi-course menu.
Day 7 – Thangka Art & Farewell Evening
Your final full day in Bhutan is centered around craftsmanship, creativity, and quiet discovery. After breakfast, visit High Quality Thangka Painting Gallery where local master artisans will guide you through the creation of your own personalized thangka artwork, prepared in advance as a meaningful keepsake from Bhutan. The afternoon remains free for exploring Thimphu’s artisan markets, boutique shops, and hidden cafés at your own pace. In the evening, your journey concludes with a final private dinner followed by a candlelit spa and wellness experience paired with wine.
Day 8 – Departure
Enjoy one final peaceful morning in Bhutan before your private luxury transfer to Paro International Airport for departure.
