Day 2
BAYTSHO LAKE HELICOPTER PICNIC & WELLNESS
Begin the day with a leisurely breakfast overlooking the forested valleys surrounding Thimphu before departing for one of the highlights of your Himalayan journey in partnership with Heli Bhutan. Board your private helicopter and take to the skies, enjoying spectacular views of Bhutan's monasteries, winding rivers, dense forests, and mountain landscapes. Your flight leads to the tranquil shores of Baytsho Lake, a hidden alpine setting surrounded by untouched natural beauty and peaceful Himalayan scenery.
Upon arrival, a gourmet picnic awaits beside the lake, thoughtfully prepared by a private chef and paired with a bottle of carefully selected wine. Surrounded by fresh mountain air and the quiet beauty of the wilderness, this memorable experience offers a rare opportunity to pause and savour Bhutan's extraordinary landscapes from a unique perspective. Day 3
ART, CULTURE & BHUTANESE WINE
Enjoy a relaxed morning at The Postcard Hotel, beginning with breakfast overlooking the surrounding mountains and forests. The remainder of the morning is free to enjoy the hotel's wellness facilities, unwind by the heated pool, or take a leisurely walk through the peaceful pine-covered hills surrounding the property. After lunch, travel into Thimphu to discover one of Bhutan's most celebrated artistic traditions. At a renowned thangka gallery, experienced artists will introduce you to the intricate techniques and symbolism behind these sacred paintings, which have been passed down through generations.
During the experience, you will have the opportunity to add colour and detail to your own thangka design, creating a unique keepsake inspired by Bhutan's rich spiritual and artistic heritage. This evening, visit The Wine Stop for a curated wine tasting experience hosted in partnership with the Bhutan Wine Company. Learn about Bhutan's emerging wine culture while sampling locally crafted wines, thoughtfully paired with a specially prepared multi-course dinner that showcases the flavours and ingredients of the Himalayas.
Day 4
SCENIC JOURNEY INTO PUNAKHA
Following breakfast, depart Thimphu by private SUV and begin one of Bhutan's most picturesque road journeys. Travelling through mountain passes, forested landscapes, and traditional villages, the route reveals the remarkable contrast between Bhutan's alpine highlands and the fertile valleys of Punakha. HERITAGE, TRADITIONS & VALLEY VIEWS
Begin the day with breakfast overlooking the lush Punakha Valley before setting out to visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan's most iconic landmarks. Situated at the meeting point of two rivers, this remarkable fortress-monastery showcases the country's rich architectural heritage and continues to play an important role in Bhutanese spiritual and cultural life. Later, embrace a cherished Bhutanese tradition as you dress in traditional attire for a memorable photography experience within the valley. SCENIC RETURN TO PARO
After breakfast, depart Punakha by private SUV and begin the picturesque journey back towards Paro.
