Day 2 – Thimphu: Culture & Craft

Explore Thimphu through its living culture. Visit sacred sites and artisan workshops, including traditional thangka painting studios. Optional experiences such as archery, meditation, or a guided hike offer a first sense of rhythm and movement.

Day 3 – Into the Wild: Punakha Valley

Cross the Dochu La pass, where mountain views open across the Himalayas. Descend into the subtropical Punakha Valley and arrive at River Lodge, set deep within nature. The atmosphere shifts, slower, more elemental.

Day 4 – Rivers, Trails & Open Space

A day shaped by adventure. Choose between white-water rafting, guided hikes, or cycling through the valley. The experience is fluid, designed around your pace. Evening brings a relaxed setting, often by firelight or under open skies.

Day 5 – Immersion in Nature

Continue exploring Punakha’s landscapes through treks, village walks, or curated outdoor experiences. A private picnic or riverside moment offers pause within the movement. The day closes with quiet comfort at the lodge.

Day 6 – Return to Paro

Journey back to Paro, with time to pause along the way. Check into your mountain retreat and settle into a softer rhythm once more.

Day 7 – Tiger’s Nest & Himalayan Views

Ascend to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, a defining experience of Bhutan. The hike unfolds through forested trails and sweeping views, offering both challenge and reward. The afternoon is left open for rest or light exploration.

Day 8 – Departure

A final morning in the mountains before your departure.
